Think date molasses could be used in place of sugar cane molasses?
In the cake, absolutely. I'm not sure about in the bread. The bitter note of sugar cane molasses helps cut the sweetness there - and i'm not sure how date molasses would interact with/feed the yeast. Can't hurt to try though...
